End-of-Life Organ Donation Info for Muslims

بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ

The PPP slides below have been prepared by Dr. A. Hussain who is a consultant anaesthetist. He has been involved with solid organ (kidneys, liver, heart and lungs) donation as an anaesthetist for over 20 years, both in Islāmic and non-Islāmic countries. During his career, he has worked for many years in intensive care including general, paediatric, cardiac and neurosurgical. The slides below are intended to cover most of the issues surrounding end-of-life organ donation relevant to Muslims to help Muslims decide whether or not to donate their organs at the end of their lives.

Please note the slides are in 16:9 format and are best viewed on a computer/ laptop screen. If you are viewing them on a mobile phone you should have it sideways to get a landscape view. The view may also be affected by the browser that you are using.

Prior to going through the slide show please read a brief introduction on Organ Donation After Death in Islam here.
